Spring 2009 News:

The Ally Pally School of Music is now delivering music in:

Local children's centres

Primary schools as after school music provision

Local nursery schools

aswell as private halls in Poole, Broadstone and Wimborne.

The school has taken part in fundays in Poole and at Christmas provided several local parent and toddler groups and pre-schools with Christmas parties and workshops.

Parties:

We run parties for children 1 to 8yrs and our customers- parents and kids alike are loving them! They tell us we are great value and great fun.

Roz of Poole told us, after we had run a home party for her 5 year old son - 'My 3 year daughter has already asked if she can have you do her party and this is coming from the hardest to please 3 year old I know! My 8 year old son rushed up to me exclaiming 'that was the best! We would book you again without hesitation.'

In Poole:

Feb half term - Under 5's musical playtime with optional craft activities-free admission although donations welcome! Contact Ali Lunn if interested or go the Class sections of the website for details.

Easter Workshop for the 4 to 7's - Let's Party Mexican style! - Dance the Sombrero Hat Dance, play the 'kick the stick' game, learn to speak and sing in Spanish, make your very own instruments and bash the Pinato to let the musical goodies out!

£5 per child. Half price for siblings.

Summer Holiday Workshops for children 0 to 7 years starting end of July and throughout August.

Extended sessions for children aged 5 to 11 years, whose parents both work, planned for the summer holidays - Activities will include Singing, Instrument Playing, Movement & Dance, Open Play with large balls, hoops etc. and Craft and Art.

In Wimborne:

Planning is due to begin to host a musical tent for young children and their families at the October Food Festival.

Summer Classes :

Registration for the Summer is to start on the 23rd February. Please find forms on our registation page from this date. Classes for newborn babies through to 8 yrs available. Please refer to our age specific sections:

0 to 3's

Lyn with Barney

Taking my youngest son to Ali's group has been a wonderful experience for us both! We have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities that Ali has provided for us to sing and dance together - Barnaby (aged 1) loves to bounce along and always spends the whole session smiling! Ali creates a friendly atmosphere and always provides purposeful, fun activities. We are very much looking forward to joining her again soon!

'Avery just loves to move and groove to all the music Ali provides. Ali played her cello last week and it made Avery stand to attention - believe me, a rare event at the moment!! Ali really cares for our children and her years of music training and early years knowledge clearly show in her brilliant classes'.

'Both my son (12 weeks old) and I have loved the sessions. The activities get all of his senses tingling and the best thing for me is that afterwards he has a restful nap in his pram while I enjoy a chat and piece of chocolate cake with the other mums!'

Just thought I'd recommend The Ali Pally School of music to anybody wanting to introduce music to their babies life. The other day my daughter surprised me with a dance routine of forward and backward steps not too unlike something we'd done at one of her classes! She is now 19 months and loves it!
